To say that Josh has been excited for baseball to start would be a gross understatement! He woke up yesterday and began to chant, “Let’s go Dodgers! Let’s go!” He also wanted to know if his dad had a Dodgers shirt. Uhh! No! But perhaps we'll have to change that.
When he stepped up to bat the first time, he struck out. The next time up he hit 2 foul balls and then ... the big moment came - his first hit! He stood there for a second, stunned that he actually connected with it. Then he made a mad dash for 1st base! I don’t know who was more excited ... Josh or his dad. As he stood on base, watching the next batter, you could tell how thrilled he was. He was bouncing up and down, grinning from ear to ear! I honestly felt like crying I was so happy for him!

Even the weather couldn't deter our team of 7 year olds. The day before it had been a gorgeous 80 degrees. Not last night! It was VERY windy, raining and cold. But they had a GREAT time and went on to win! Way to go Dodgers!
It will probably sound weird, but I felt like I had taken another step as a mom. To be at the little league fields, snack shack and all, watching my little boy, was awesome! I remember spending MANY, MANY nights at the ballfields watching my 3 younger brothers. And now, here I am, watching MY little man play ball. I couldn't have been prouder!
We love you #4! You did great! Here's to a fun season ahead!
