Please forgive me!

I know I said last month that I was going to be better about keeping up with my blogging. Well ... what can I say? Life has been a bit busy. PLUS, my computer was down for 2 weeks. So, will you please forgive me and still be my blogging friends?

I have a TON to post and will try to get caught up in the next day or two. But for now, scroll down and check out the following posts.

A milestone in a young boy's life ... his 1st fish!

So last weekend was the Fathers & Sons outing. No lie ... Josh packed his things 2 weeks in advance! He was so cute! He and Greg made a list of everything they would need and then Josh went to work getting it together. When all was said and done, it looked like they were going away for a week rather than 24 hours. I was sure the boy was going to jump out of his skin before Bret and Jake came to pick them up! And yes, I made them all stand and pose for a picture before they could leave.

Then, on Saturday morning, Greg called and said to have the camera ready because we needed to document a HUGE milestone in Josh's life ... HIS FIRST FISH! What a day! I was just grateful that Greg said we needed to throw the fish away because it had been, well ... "handled" by lots of little boys! No further explanation needed! Plus, I wasn't all that thrilled at the prospects of a stinky fish being cooked in my house.

Great job boys! You both make me proud! I love the two men in my life with all of my heart!

Welcome to Utah!

We are lucky enough to have Heide and Addy out here in Utah for a few weeks! So, we've been showing them all of our favorite places, taking them to our favorite fast food places and introducing them to this gorgeous place we call home! We thought they might not enjoy our heat down here, but Heide already has a better tan than 90% of us "desert dwellers." So far I think their favorite spot has been the splash pad and water area by the new library. We're planning a few more afternoon visits there so that we can keep cool and work on MY tan!

Heide and Addy, we love you both SO much and hope this will be the first of many trips you will take to come and see us.

Emersyn's Room

We have been busily putting together baby Emersyn's room and it feels nice to finally have it all done. Kate tells me every day, "Mom, I walk in there every day hoping that Eme will be in her crib." I'm not sure if she thinks her baby sister will somehow fall out of the sky or magically appear, but she's excited and that's all that counts. We have only a few more weeks until she's here and we are BEYOND excited, nervous, anxious and happily counting down the days!

BTW ... the yellow is much softer than it appears here! YIKES!

Spring Soccer

Another season of soccer has come and gone. Kate and Josh were both much more aggressive and excited about playing and yet, thankfully, they didn't take it too seriously. Win or loose, they still had fun! As you can tell, the end of year medals were a HUGE hit at our house!
