This will be a very personal post, so please bear with me while I share some of my most precious memories.
August 7th through the 13th are very special days to us for a lot of reasons. First of all, on August 7, 1994 we miscarried twin boys at almost 5 months along. That means that this year they would be 14. I can hardly imagine what life would be like with twin 14 year old boys right now and I'm so glad to know that they are in a much better place. Kate and Josh talk about their "twin brothers" all the time and insisted on singing them happy birthday the other day. So, happy birthday boys!
August 7th is also my little sister's anniversary. She and Casey were married on the twins' 5th birthday. Am and Cas are two of my MOST favorite people in the world and I love them with all of my heart! Happy Anniversary you two lovebirds! You're an AMAZING couple!
Then in 2000, our little Kate was born and on August 10th we finalized her adoption, the 12th we had her sealed to us and on the 13th she was blessed. Those were some of the most wonderful days of my life. She has brought IMMENSE joy to our lives and I am so grateful to be her mom.
So, as these first few days of August come and go, I am grateful for the special memories of these days. I truly am very, very blessed!

Okay...that made me cry. Ironically I was thinking of the boys yesterday during our RS lesson (I didn't even know their birthdate). I know you will have them as they were and I can't wait to meet them for myself!
