NOVEMBER 2010
Way back in November, Kate and her other 5th grade classmates were able to participate in the Veteran's Day parade and program put on by Washington City. It was very inspiring to see the veteran's all dressed in their uniforms and to hear the National Anthem sung. What a blessing to live in this free land! Way to go Sandstone!
It was also Parent Observation Week at Kate's dance studio in November. I LOVE to go and watch her! Let's face it ... a part of me is living vicariously through her! In the next life I WILL be a ballerina! Just wait and see! But for now, I love watching Kate. She is becoming very graceful and can't wait to get point shoes next fall! You're a beautiful dancer sis and I'm proud of you!
Right before Thanksgiving, Ben and April stopped by on their way to SLC. These are visits that I really look forward to and wish there were more of. There were alot of years when we wondered if either of us would be parents. Now, as we sit at dinner with 6 kids all going crazy at the same time, we just look at each other and smile (or occasionally roll our eyes). It was especially fun to watch Amelie and Eme (aka ... salt and pepper) warm up to each other this time. Have you ever seen two prettier little girls? OH they're yummy!
Thanksgiving this year was with Greg's family and unfortunately I didn't take a single picture. Ooops! We had a great day and enjoyed LOTS of yummy food and family time. That weekend was also the Utah vs. BYU game and Jenn was able to hook us up with tickets. It was FREEZING cold so I let Kate take my ticket. She, of course, couldn't wait to hang out with her Dad all day and cheer on the Utes! Thanks Jenn! You're the best!
Of course, what Thanksgiving weekend wouldn't be complete without a little black Friday shopping! Amy and I braved the cold and met up at Target at 5 am. It was early, but it was also one of the funnest days ever! One of our stops was JoAnn's where they were having a screamin' deal on fleece. So, we got this brilliant idea to make all of our nieces and nephews blankets. We headed into the store at 7:30 a.m., grabbed a number and began the search for our fabric. Over the loud speaker we heard them say "73" and we thought, "GREAT! We've got number 89." And then we realized that they said "E 73" and we had "F 89." Needless to say we were there for almost 3 hours, but we had a fantastic time! Amy waited with our fabric and I headed to Sonic for some breakfast sandwiches and diet cokes. We sat right in the middle of the store and had our breakfast and texted back and forth with our mom, who was out of town visiting Jim's kids. It was a RIOT! Thanks Am for being so much fun to hang out with! I love ya!
Well, kids ... that's November! NOW ... prepare yourself for December's post. It's going to be a LONG one!
