Yes, you heard it right ... WE ARE GOING TO BE ADOPTING A BABY GIRL IN JUNE! We are SO incredibly excited! We were going to try to keep it a secret for a little longer, but now that the kids know we're pretty sure EVERYONE will know.
In case you couldn't hear the poem that Kate read, here it is:
As you can imagine Kate and Josh are VERY excited and can hardly wait. After we told the kids, Kate and I had to run to the store and she kept telling me, "Mom, we need to buy baby food" and "We need to buy diapers." I assured her we've got plenty of time to get ready!
Our baby girl is actually due on our Anniversary ... kind of special, don't you agree? Her birth mom is AMAZING and we already love her SO much! We have made arrangements to meet in March and we are counting down the days! This is truly an answer to many, many prayers and we are grateful for all of your love and support!

woo hoo! adoption is the best! i was hoping that would be your surprise! i know this baby's precious birth mother will fall in love with your family, and will forever feel part of your family. keep us posted. we are so anxious for you guys.

P.S. Judging by they way they tore apart that box, it is a good thing the little sister was not actually in the box. ;)

I was laughing out loud as the kids were tearing at the box, then crying when kate was reading the poem, then laughing at Josh, then crying when I read that amazing darling poem! I am so HAPPY for you! You deserve this! Thank you so much for sharing that with us!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I love that you posted that video. I must say though, Josh seems a little underwhelmed. I mean instead of listening to Kate read the poem, he is crawling in the box. I guess it's true what they say. A cardboard box is ALWAYS the best present for a kid.
